The MCIEA Governing Board endorses the inclusion of performance assessment capstones in the new graduation requirements that will be adopted by the state.

Consortium Partners

The Massachusetts Consortium for Innovative Education Assessment (MCIEA) is governed by a partnership of public school districts and their local teacher unions, joined together to create a fair and effective accountability system that offers a dynamic picture of student learning and school quality. MCIEA affiliate districts are those that use the various tools and resources developed within the consortium, which are free and open-source. Affiliate representatives may also serve on MCIEA steering committees. 

The MCIEA Approach

MCIEA brings together teachers, administrators, researchers, and teacher union representatives to build a better assessment and accountability system. As members of the consortium, districts receive:
